Seattle is a Great Place to Hang…
Frequent rain storms are rare in most cities of the United States but in Seattle, the climate is known to be gloomy and dark. Contrary to the weather though, Seattleites make a hospital, fun and modern community. One of the largest cities in the country and in Washington, Seattle has a number of tourist sites and attractions for globe trotters to experience. From the mouth-watering, gourmet cuisine to the spectacular view of the Cascade peaks, Seattle has it all!
Things to See in Seattle
Seattle is home to the Space Needle, the most iconic tourist attraction, landmark and observatory of the city. The Space Needle might be a little high end on the budget but we highly recommend visiting it at least once! The observation tower is open every day from 8 AM to midnight.
The Pike Place Market is another tourist hotspot. This huge market is both indoors and outdoors with a variety of goods and souvenirs to take home.
You can also get around the metropolitan city by the several tours offered by private companies. The Argosy Cruises are a popular boat cruise many tourists and Seattleites like to take for a full view of the lakes and the panorama of the city. The many lakes remind us of Lake Norman back in North Carolina where our friend Brandon Johnson runs his roofing company, Southern Star Roofing. The lakes are like fingers, expanding into nooks and crannies along the coastal areas. Such a beautiful place to visit. Other tours that are worth mentioning and checking out include the Public Market Tours, the Hot Air Balloon Tours, the Underground Tour and the Savor Seattle Food Tours.
Museums in Seattle are also very frequently visited. The Seattle Art Museum displays wondrous exhibits of contemporary art from across the globe. The Seattle Asian Art Museum, on the other hand, focuses more on featuring eastern cultures. The Pacific Science Center and the Science Fiction Museum are other prominent names that you can visit for an intellectual experience.
Festivals in Seattle
As in most cities of the United States, Seattle hosts a decent number of events and public festivals across the year. The Seafair, Bumbershoot, Bite of Seattle and the Fremont Fair are all much anticipated events by Seattleites that you, as a tourist, can experience too! So hop on the next flight to Seattle and explore the festivity of this city first-hand!
